The sun shone royally on the
Monarch Float coming down the Nimitz Highway in Honolulu. King
Kamehameha I is portrayed by the gentleman standing highest on the float
with the red and yellow (royal colors) feathered helmet and cloak.
The 2 kahili's (feathered standards) borne by the kahili bearers on
either side of the king signify the presence of royalty. The royal
guard surround the king.
